
Part-time online programme
Maharishi Vedic Medical University requires 180 ECTS for a bachelor degree. The part-time online bachelor degree consists of 30 modules of about 100 hours each (50 hours online presence and 50 hours self-study) that students can take at their own pace over a period of 3 months, and 3 in-residence courses of 2 weeks long each.
After graduation, bachelor students have to undergo a one-year (minimum 1000 hours) supervised internship in an Maharishi Ayurveda Clinic. The aim of this year is to gain supreme professional expertise for their individual medical practice and health care for the whole society. For students undertaking a master degree directly after having successfully finished their bachelor, the one year of internship is postponed after master graduation.
Support and Resources
Throughout their studies, students will be supported and followed by their teachers through conference calls, chats, forums, and messaging which will enable them to continuously be updated in their work and understanding. They will also benefit from a web course management system to access all the course materials they need for their studies.
Overview of the Modules
Activities throughout the whole curriculum:
Development of professional competence through development of consciousness by utilizing the experiential aspect of the programme—daily practice of the Transcendental Meditation Programme; the TM-Sidhi Programme, including Yogic Flying; Vedic exercise (Yoga Asana and Pranayama); Self-Pulse reading (Maharishi Nadi Vigyan); daily self-massage (Abhyanga)
Total Knowledge Based Teaching Methods: Connecting all knowledge to the Self of the student—« Total Knowledge every day/lesson »; effortless learning through repetition and review, wholeness points, main points, unity charts and summaries
